Baseball Preview: Empire Ravens vs. Amphitheater Panthers
The Empire Ravens will head out on the road to square off against the Amphitheater Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Amphitheater took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Empire, who comes in off a win.
Empire lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Sabino, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Ravens' pitcher stepped up to hand the Sabercats a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Ravens have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Evan Walker tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
