Softball Recap: Laurence Manning Academy Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Laurence Manning Academy finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They lost 7-1 to the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles. The Swampcats haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Laurence Manning Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Pee Dee Academy, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Laurence Manning Academy will take on John Paul II at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pee Dee Academy, they will square off against South Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
