Baseball Recap: Elkhorn North Finds Home Field Redemption Against Lincoln Northwest

There's no place like home for Elkhorn North, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Lincoln Northwest Falcons on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The result came thanks to Garrett Ringenberg's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maverick Christiansen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles and one RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Cam Schmeeckle was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Elkhorn North hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.
