Baseball Recap: Issaquah Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Issaquah won the last time they faced Redmond and things went their way on Monday too. Issaquah walked away with a 6-2 victory over Redmond. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Tyler Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, Charlie Lydum was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Mason Uchimura was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Issaquah's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Redmond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Issaquah Eagles challenge Woodinville Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Redmond, they will take on Bellevue at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellevue's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Redmond's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
