Football Recap: Lassiter Piles Up the Points Against Northview + How To Watch

Lassiter won the last time they faced Northview and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans took their contest with ease, bagging a 41-14 victory over the Titans. The Trojans pushed the score to 41-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Titans cut but never quite recovered from.

A big part of Lassiter's win came down to the chemistry between Mitch Seaman and his top target Collins Price. Seaman threw for 143 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes while Price picked up 84 receiving yards and three TDs. The dominant performance also gave Seaman a new career-high in passer rating (153.8). Drew McGee was another key player, rushing for 62 yards and one score.

Lassiter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northview only rushed for 128 rushing yards.

Northview's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Drew Beane, who threw for 107 yards and a pair of TDs, and Cade Zeman, who picked up 100 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The victory was the third in a row for Lassiter, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 40.0 points this season. As for Northview, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Lassiter and Northview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Trojans (ranked 261st) will meet Creekview (ranked 116th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northview will square off against St. Pius X Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (429 vs. 132).
