Basketball Recap: Rockmart's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rockmart's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took down the Calhoun Yellow Jackets 73-59. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Yellowjackets as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Several Yellow Jackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jace Johns, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Case Shropshire was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six boards and three steals.

Rockmart's win bumped their record up to 2-8.

Rockmart didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 86-27 loss against Darlington on the 19th. As for Calhoun, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 84-18 victory against Pepperell on the 19th.
