It was a good run, but Columbia Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lafayette County Cougars. The contest marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lafayette County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Palermo, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Rod Bailey, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 15 points and five steals.

Columbia Christian's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-2. As for Lafayette County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Columbia Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Bearden at 5:30 p.m. on December 13th. As for Lafayette County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-44 win against Bradley on the 7th.
