Volleyball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Windermere's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, Windermere's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Lake Mary Rams by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

Windermere's offense was headlined by Elijah Ihnenfeld and Terrance Drain, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Bruno Perez and his 21 assists. Ihnenfeld was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Windermere's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Lake Mary, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Coincidentally, Windermere and Lake Mary will both be playing Lake Brantley the next time they take the court. The Wolverines will head out to face the Patriots at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
