Softball Recap: Fridley Falls to Washburn in First Game of Season

Fridley had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Washburn Millers, falling 10-2. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Millers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

The victory got Washburn back to even at 1-1.

Fridley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on May 13. As for Washburn, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-14 loss against DeLaSalle on the 14th.
