League recap: Morrisville-Eaton/Hamilton win leads to rise in state rank

Morrisville-Eaton/Hamilton moved up to 454 from 565 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 3 Class C - South. Morrisville-Eaton/Hamilton climbed the ranks as a result of beating Jordan-Elbridge 17-0.

Gary Morris' team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Eagles, 17-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Thanks to the talents of Matt Smith and Devven Ferris Sherburne-Earlville has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Smith leads the league in passing with 392 yards, while Ferris has rushed for 735 yards this season. LaFayette/Fabius Pompey's Dan Gallagher leads the league in receiving yards with 267 on 10 catches.

Clinton and Ilion played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Clinton eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory.
