Basketball Recap: Moberly Beats Boonville for Their Fourth Straight Win

Moberly won the last time they faced Boonville, and Mason Bivins did his part to make sure it happened again. The Moberly Spartans walked away with a 54-47 win over the Boonville Pirates on Thursday thanks in part to Bivins, who posted 12 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Amar'E Hawkins was another key player, putting up ten points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

The victory (which was Moberly's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Boonville, they moved to 4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moberly will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Hannibal at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boonville, they will host Fulton at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
