Basketball Recap: Coastal Brigade Drops Highest Score of Season Against Varsity Opponent

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coastal Brigade). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 95-17 victory over Varsity Opponent. The win was nothing new for Coastal Brigade as they're now sitting on five straight.

Coastal Brigade's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cade Lewis led the charge by going 7-for-10 on his way to 17 points and six steals. Lewis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Brake, who shot 86% from the field en route to 14 points along with six steals and five assists.

Coastal Brigade's victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Coastal Brigade will take on Faith Christian Academy in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on the 18th. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-25 loss against Ball on the 9th.
