Soccer Game Preview: Lumberton vs. Silsbee

Lumberton is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Silsbee is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Lumberton Raiders will host the Silsbee Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lumberton is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Jasper a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won ten games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Silsbee challenged Bridge City on Friday. Silsbee came out on top against Bridge City by a score of 3-1. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly two goals.

Lumberton's victory bumped their record up to 15-3-1. As for Silsbee, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-7.
