Volleyball Recap: BASIS Flagstaff Comes Up Short

BASIS Flagstaff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lee Williams Volunteers. If the Yetis were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Volunteers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

BASIS Flagstaff's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Lee Williams, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-16.

Looking ahead, BASIS Flagstaff will venture away from home to face off against Horizon Honors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee Williams has already played their next game (against Desert Sunrise), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
