Basketball Game Preview: Roy Royals vs. Bonneville Lakers

The Roy Royals are taking a road trip to take on the Bonneville Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Roy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Last Wednesday, Roy beat Northridge 65-56.

Colby Frokjer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 for 19 on his way to 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Those 28 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jesse Jones, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards.

Meanwhile, Bonneville was able to grind out a solid victory over Clearfield on Wednesday, taking the game 60-49.

Roy's record now sits at 5-13. As for Bonneville, their record now sits at 8-10.

Roy came up short against Bonneville when the teams last played on January 8th, falling 46-39. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bonneville's Ben Tesch, who went 6 of 12 en route to 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Now that Roy knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
