Baseball Recap: Hillsborough Comes Up Short

If Hillsborough was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Blake last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Terriers came up short against the Wharton Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The Terriers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Hillsborough saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Isaac, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Hillsborough's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Wharton, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4.

Looking ahead, Hillsborough will welcome Leto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wharton, they are taking a road trip to square off against Alonso at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Ravens' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
