After a string of three wins, Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 45-38 to the Menaul Panthers.

Menaul found their leader in sophomore Karlea Apodaca, who went 8 for 20 en route to 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Apodaca has scored at least a third of Menaul's points. Another player making a difference was Natalia Mejias, who posted eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Menaul, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-11.

Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 47-38 defeat against Legacy Academy on the 30th. As for Menaul, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-7 victory against Monte Del Sol Charter on the 29th.
