Football Recap: Mingus Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Thursday just wasn't the day for Mingus's offense. They were outmatched by the Mohave Thunderbirds and fell 47-0. The loss leaves the Marauders still looking for their first win of the season.

Hunter Bejarano threw for 38 yards on six of 11 attempts.

Joe Yoney had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 241 yards and three TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 53 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries for Mohave. Yoney didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended one pass. 81 of Yoney's passing yards were hauled in by Nathaniel Villarreal, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Mingus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Mohave, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Mingus will head out to take on Flagstaff at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Mohave, they will welcome Lee Williams at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Volunteers' defense has only allowed 9.9 points per game this season, so the Thunderbirds' offense will have their work cut out for them.
