Silverado faced Southeast Career Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Skyhawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Roadrunners, sneaking past 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Silverado took Southeast Career Tech into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-16, 15-9.

Silverado's offense was headlined by Kalia Roberts and Jaida Rainey, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Kendra Ryan and her 37 assists. Addisyn Simbahon controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the loss, Southeast Career Tech still got an impressive performance from Jazmin Evenden, who had 19 digs. Ray Sprecher also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Silverado now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Southeast Career Tech, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 20-11.

Coming up, Silverado will face off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southeast Career Tech, they will challenge Cimarron-Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
