Volleyball Recap: Winton Woods Warriors vs. Loveland Tigers
Winton Woods was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Loveland Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-6, 25-10.
Loveland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaelin Lohman, who had seven aces. Those seven aces gave Lohman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ella George, who had five digs and three aces.
Winton Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Loveland, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Winton Woods is set to take on their familiar foe Lebanon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Loveland will face off against rival Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
