Volleyball Recap: Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter Comes Up Short

Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter lost against Bishop Kearney last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets came up short against the Kings, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-17, 25-17.

Maddison Dean was the offensive standout of the match as she had eight aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lilly Ilardo, who had six aces.

Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bishop Kearney, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rochester School for the Deaf at 4:15 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Bishop Kearney, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Rochester Academy on the 3rd.
