Eastern Alamance won the last time they faced Williams and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eastern Alamance Eagles put the hurt on the Williams Bulldogs with a sharp 80-59 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastern Alamance to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Murphy, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 13 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Williams, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 14 points along with six assists and three steals.

Colby Elliot and Jaeden Smith certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Elliot posted 16 points, while Smith scored 12 points. Elliot has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played.

Eastern Alamance has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points over those games. Williams' loss dropped their record down to 11-15.

Coming up, Eastern Alamance is taking a road trip to face off against Person at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Person comes in on ten and Eastern Alamance on three. Williams does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
