Volleyball Recap: Woodlawn Comes Up Short

Woodlawn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the A.L. Brown Wonders, falling 3-0. The Trailblazers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wonders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

While Woodlawn was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into A.L. Brown's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-15, 25-20.

Woodlawn's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for A.L. Brown, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Woodlawn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against East Lincoln on the 28th. As for A.L. Brown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Mooresville on the 23rd.
