Football Recap: Edison's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Edison made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Huntington Beach, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Chargers fell just short of the Oilers by a score of 14-12 on Wednesday. The Chargers have struggled against the Oilers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

A big part of Huntington Beach's victory came down to the chemistry between Roxie Shaia and her top target Taylor Savage. Shaia threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of her passes while Savage picked up 128 receiving yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave Shaia a new career-high in rushing yards (28).

Having lost for the first time this season, Edison fell to 3-1. As for Huntington Beach, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Edison didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-13 victory against San Clemente on the 28th. As for Huntington Beach, they have also already played their next matchup, a 19-13 loss against Newport Harbor on the 3rd.
