Basketball Recap: Bunker Hill Takes a Loss

Bunker Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Bandys Trojans, falling 75-53. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 83-76 back in January.

Landon Vaughan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bandys, going 11-for-16 to rack up 27 points along with eight boards and six blocks. Vaughan is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in each of the last nine games he's played. Easton Ledford was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Bunker Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Bandys, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Coming up, Bunker Hill will head out on the road to challenge Maiden at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Maiden's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Bandys, they will be playing at home against East Burke at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bandys is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.7 points per game this season.
