Baseball Recap: Kingston Cougars vs. Arcadia Valley Tigers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valle Catholic, Kingston was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Arcadia Valley Tigers 4-2. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 14-6 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Ayden Piel was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 6.2 innings pitched. Piel was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Kingston's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-8 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Nathan Eichhorn was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.
