Flag Football Recap: King City Comes Up Short Despite Kaylin Arvizu's Big Defensive Game

Monday just wasn't the day for King City's offense. They took a 6-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palma Chieftains on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chieftains this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-7 back in September.

King City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Kaylin Arvizu, Dania Rodriguez, and Katia Slama picked up one apiece.

This is the second loss in a row for King City and nudges their season record down to 13-10. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 24 points in those games. As for Palma, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

King City didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-12 defeat against Salinas on the 22nd. As for Palma, they have also already played their next contest, an 18-13 win against Monterey on the 22nd.
