Baseball Recap: Sierra Pacific Starts Season with Victory Against Sanger

Sierra Pacific gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Sanger Apaches with a sharp 7-1 win. This was payback for the Golden Bears, who suffered a 10-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kaleb Koelewyn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 5.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Sierra Pacific's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Christian Flores, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
