Brodhead proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Turner Trojans, sneaking past 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won seven in a row.

Brodhead was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 23-25, 25-10, 15-5.

Leading Brodhead to victory were Elise Rear and Brynn Riesterer. Rear had five digs and three aces, while Riesterer had 19 kills and two blocks. Those five digs gave Rear a new career-high.

Brodhead's victory bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Turner, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 10-7.

Coincidentally, Brodhead and Turner will both be playing Beloit Memorial the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Purple Knights at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cardinals will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
