Volleyball Recap: Jordan Wins Going Away Against Hillcrest

Jordan won the last time they faced Hillcrest and things went their way on Thursday too. The Beetdiggers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Huskies.

Jordan's got stronger as the match went on, holding Hillcrest to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-15.

Thys Oppermann paced Jordan's offense, picking up 11 kills. Oppermann got some help from Logan Slaughter and his 24 assists. Oppermann was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Jordan's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Hillcrest, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Jordan will welcome Stansbury at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest has already played their next match (against Granger), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
