Basketball Recap: Mardela Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mardela can now relate to. They lost to the Cambridge-South Dorchester Vikings on the road by a 29-14 margin on Monday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in February of 2020.

Le'Asia Todd continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cambridge-South Dorchester, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. Todd has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 45 times she's played. Destiny Johnson was another key player, putting up eight points.

Mardela has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. Cambridge-South Dorchester has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
