Football Recap: College Prep & Leadership Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

College Prep & Leadership Academy played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the East Rutherford Cavaliers 84-8. The Royals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 64-8.

East Rutherford had a senior duo take command as Brandon Pinkerton rushed for 114 yards and three scores on only nine carries and Landon Flynn threw for 214 yards and four TDs on perfect 7-for-7 passing. CJ Jackson was Flynn's top target, picking up 92 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

College Prep & Leadership Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Rutherford, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, College Prep & Leadership Academy will head out on the road to face off against Carver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Rutherford, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hibriten at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
