Softball Recap: Blackford Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Adams, Blackford was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over the Eastern Comets. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bruins needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

The win got Blackford back to even at 2-2. As for Eastern, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blackford will venture away from home to square off against Daleville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 15.5 runs per game this season. As for Eastern, they will square off against Tipton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
