Volleyball Recap: Oxford Academy's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games + How To Watch

If Oxford Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Samueli Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots fell 3-1 to the California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes on Friday. The loss put an end to the Patriots' undefeated start to the season.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: California Academy of Math & Science scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 25-23.

Having lost for the first time this season, Oxford Academy fell to 6-1. As for California Academy of Math & Science, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxford Academy will face off against El Modena at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for California Academy of Math & Science, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give the Coyotes their first taste of in-conference action this season.
