Baseball Game Preview: Kingsway Dragons vs. Burlington Township Falcons

The Kingsway Dragons will be taking part in a tournament against the Burlington Township Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Kingsway has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Kingsway's win against Overbrook wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dragons narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Rams 6-4. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

AJ Aimis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brayden Thorp was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kyle Shields, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Burlington Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Northern Burlington, falling 13-5.

Kingsway's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1. As for Burlington Township, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
