Volleyball Recap: Pine Crest Extends Winning Streak to Four

Pine Crest proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Boca Raton Christian Blazers 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Pine Crest got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 23-25, 27-25, 21-25, 15-11.

Leading Pine Crest to victory were Isabella Collado and Kaylee Foreman. Collado had 15 digs and four aces, while Foreman had 26 digs and two aces. What's more, Collado posted four kills, the most she's had since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: Pine Crest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boca Raton Christian only served nine.

Pine Crest's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Boca Raton Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Crest will welcome Cardinal Newman at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boca Raton Christian, they will square off against Saint Andrew's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
