Fans got a thrill when Noah Sargent and Kyle McCanham connected against Holly. The connection was good for 54 yards, the longest such play in Flint Metro this season.

Lapeer East scaled the state rankings by moving to 235 from 289 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of besting Kearsley 32-0.

James Claborn put up the best numbers in passing as Fenton topped Adrian. He finished with 19 completions for 283 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Marquavian Stephens was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 81 yards on 11 carries as Swartz Creek beat Clio. Teammate Brendon Fitch added to the ground attack by rushing for 12 yards.

Matte was the best wideout in Flint Metro this week as the Dragons topped the Mustangs. Matte racked up 6 receptions for 89 yards. Taylor Pasheek helped Swartz Creek's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 55 yards.

The leading receiver in the league this season is McCanham. The Brandon star has 7 catches for 116 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Lapeer West takes on second place Lapeer East.

Swartz Creek was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. Brad Brown's team beat Clio 35-6 earlier in the week.
