Basketball Recap: Kearney's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Thursday

Kearney hadn't done well against Raytown South recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Kearney Bulldogs walked away with a 57-45 victory over the Raytown South Cardinals. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Cardinals are ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kearney pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games.
