After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Warren Township, Fenton was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Kankakee Kays a 1-0 shutout. Javier Villarruel had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Fenton.

Fenton's victory bumped their record up to 4-2-3. As for Kankakee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
