Recap: Loyalton Grizzlies vs. Princeton Eagles
The Loyalton Grizzlies had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They snuck past Princeton with a 60-56 victory on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but Loyalton sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Aidan Shelby was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Loyalton's points. Another player making a difference was Ace Armstrong, who scored 18 points.
Loss or not, Princeton got some senior leadership from Junior Andrade and Corwyn Roberson. Andrade scored 32 points along with six assists, while Roberson. almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Andrade is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season.
Loyalton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. As for Princeton, their loss dropped their record down to 23-2.
