After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cumberland Valley, Mifflin County was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Cedar Cliff Colts. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won four in a row.

Mifflin County got a massive performance out of Ava Baker, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Baker launched this season. Another player making a difference was Riley Hine, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.

Mifflin County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Mifflin County's win bumped their record up to 2-5-1. As for Cedar Cliff, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Mifflin County and Cedar Cliff could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Huskies will challenge Central Dauphin at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (258 vs. 10). Meanwhile, Cedar Cliff (ranked 397th) will meet Mechanicsburg (ranked 139th) at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
