Cocoa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 33rd straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Evans Trojans. On the bright side, the ten- run performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

E.J. Bracetty was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-4. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Rayden Smith, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Cocoa's record is now 0-19. As for Evans, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Cocoa will challenge Titusville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Evans, they will face off against Lake Minneola at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
