Soccer Game Preview: Riverside Prep vs. Indian Springs

The Riverside Prep Silver Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Indian Springs COYOTES at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverside Prep's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Riverside Prep saw some tournament action on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Burroughs 3-2. That's two games straight that Riverside Prep have won by just one goal.

Maddux Camarena and Nestor Jimenez Meza scored all three of Riverside Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Indian Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Colton on Friday. Even though Indian Springs got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Kevin Lopez was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

The win got Indian Springs back to even at 1-1. As for Riverside Prep, they now have a winning record of 3-2-2.

Riverside Prep might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Indian Springs when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can the Silver Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
