Baseball Recap: Charleston Comes Up Short

Charleston lost against Salem back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Charleston came up short against Salem, falling 9-1. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Charleston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Gordon, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Charleston now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Salem, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Charleston will square off against Newton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Salem, they will challenge Centralia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
