Basketball Game Preview: Wagner Red Raiders vs. Scotland/Menno Trappers

The Wagner Red Raiders will head out to face off against the Scotland/Menno Trappers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Wagner came up short against Corsica/Stickney and fell 43-32. The contest marked the Red Raiders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Scotland/Menno was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 59-47 to Gayville-Volin.

Wagner will need focus on slowing down Trent Guthmiller, one of several Scotland/Menno players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6 of 9 en route to 13 points and six rebounds. Treytan Bult was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Wagner has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Scotland/Menno, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
