Baseball Recap: Oberlin Takes a Loss

If Oberlin was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Open Door Christian on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Phoenix came up short against the Elyria Catholic Panthers on Thursday, falling 13-2. The Phoenix haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Oberlin's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Elyria Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oberlin will head out to take on Mansfield Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elyria Catholic, they will venture away from home to face off against Holy Name at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
