Volleyball Recap: Ellsworth Beats Minneapolis for Their Third Straight Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Ellsworth faced off against Minneapolis on Tuesday. The Bearcats came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0. The win was familiar territory for the Bearcats, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Ellsworth easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15.

Alexis Moore paced Ellsworth's offense, picking up eight kills. Moore got some help from Kinly Place and her 11 assists. Moore also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Johanna Lindsley, each putting up two.

Ellsworth's victory bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Minneapolis, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-10.

Ellsworth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Beloit on the 7th. As for Minneapolis, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Nemaha Central on the 4th.
