Softball Game Preview: Cajon Cowboys vs. Citrus Valley Blackhawks

The Cajon Cowboys will head out to take on the Citrus Valley Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cajon will be strutting in after a win while Citrus Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Cajon made easy work of Redlands and carried off a 15-3 victory. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Terriers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Citrus Valley lost 12-3 to Beaumont on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Blackhawks have lost by exactly nine runs.

Citrus Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeha Tarin, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Citrus Valley's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Cajon, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 7-8.

Cajon took their win against Citrus Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 20-0 score. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Blackhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
