Recap: Berean Academy Eagle vs. Dade County Wolverines
The Berean Academy Eagle put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Dade County 46-32. Given Berean Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 101st in Tennessee, while Dade County is ranked 395th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Austen Harvey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points. The game was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Barret Hasley, who scored ten points.
Berean Academy's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Dade County, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Berean Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dalton Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Dade County, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oakwood Christian is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
