Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cambridge walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Walnut Grove Warriors a 5-0 shutout on Monday. Considering Cambridge have won 12 contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cambridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 84 goals over those 14 matches. As for Walnut Grove, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.

Looking ahead, Cambridge will challenge Marist on Thursday. Marist will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Cambridge surely won't give up without a fight. Walnut Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
